Everyday, I look to the sky to find a better way,
'cause I can't bear the thought of letting hope slip away.
Whenever I raise my arms to the sky
I can feel the wind blowing in the trees,
While I sit here waiting, for you to to come and carry me.
Now I've sunk waist deep where the snakes still creep
In a pit of unbearable pain.
I've got a glimmer of hope if I could hold that rope
That's just out my reach.
Now if you hear my cries
Please don't turn your back on me.
Just lend a gracious hand and take me out of my misery.
When I squint really hard,
I can see a Hand reaching down to take me out of this agony.
The hope, my last, to finally be free.
So I give this petition, being my last solemn plea.
Because I've been waiting here for you patiently.
Waiting so long, thinking maybe you could come back for me
And take me away.
